I want to tell you a funny story that really happened to me.
It all started when I arrived with my family at Yosemite. We had reserved a cabin ahead of time, and I was so excited. It was dark and I could barely see the cliffs that surrounded us. I went to be because I was very tired after the long drive to this destination.
I took out my sleeping bag and put it on the bed. I couldn't fall asleep for a while because it was very cold.
I woke up very late. My family had already woken up. We planned to soon go to the lodge, and eat the complimentary breakfast that came with our stay. Others were cooking their own breakfasts on camping stoves out side their cabins. I woke up and went outside. Their was a black bear eating our neighbor's french toast!! It was halarious for me, but not so halarious for our neighbors or their french toast. To bad for our neighbors, the bear took the whole loaf of french toast, so our neighbors had nothing for breakfast.
....end of story... ;)

Cranberry spritzer recipe
Ingredients:
Orange Juice
Lime Carbonated Water
Cranberry Juice
Ice
Pour half a gallon of orange juice, lime carbonated water, and a little bit more than a half of gallon of cranberry juice if you like the cranberry flavor. Mix the three liquids together and put some ice in.
To make the cranberry spritzer look nicer, stick fresh cranberries on a skewer or BBQ stick, and stick it into your cranberry spritzer glass.
Hope you like it!!

The Giver Book Review
I want to tell you about a book I
just finished called The Giver.
Most of you have probably already read it, but if you haven’t read it
yet, I strongly encourage you to read it if you’re 10 and older. It has some adult theme, but overall it’s a
great book! I will summarize the plot,
but I won’t give away the ending, because that’s the most exciting part.
To summarize, the book starts off
with Jonas, the main character, who is content in his “seemingly perfect
community”. He soon realizes that the
community isn't as perfect as it seems.
The other citizens besides him and the Giver don’t have feelings, see
colors, or feel true pain. The citizens
kill babies and elders if they don’t seem to benefit the community. The odd thing is that the citizens don’t even
realize that they’re killing babies and elders.
Every year the groups of Twelves
are assigned careers. Jonas is among
those Twelves, and is assigned a very important career in society. I won’t tell you his Assignment, because it
is very important and will give away part of the exciting part of the
story. The Giver is the other main
character in the book, and is a friend that Jonas meets along the way. There is one thing that brings them together,
and that one thing, I’m not going to tell you so you’ll have to read the book
to find out! J Jonas and the Giver must find a way to stop
this brainless community from going any farther.
Anyway.. I strongly encourage you to read The Giver. It's one of my favorite books, and I strongly encourage 10+ kids to read it. The reason I say 10+ is because it has some more mature themes that might not be appropriate for younger kids.

Welcome
Hello my name is Livi. I know that this is a late welcome, but welcome to my blog, Did you know...? I will show you how to do's and many other things. Please comment so I know how to improve. Also, please give me suggestions on what to add to my blog. When I learn how to draw certain things, try out a good recipe, or read a good book, etc. I will post it on my blog to share with other people. I hope you enjoy my blog.
Drawing a pig
1.Little circle, little circle
2.Bigger circle
3.Little circle, little circle |
4.Bigger circle 5.Half circle, half circle, bigger circle, w, w, squiggly line | |||||
This is a great picture because it is easy to draw and easy to remember the instructions. To go with this picture, draw a farm scene, with fences a barn. To draw the barn, basically draw a big house with an almost horizontal roof, and color it red. For the rest of the scene, use your imagination.

Drawing a Flower
1.Draw a little circle.
2.Draw semi-circle, draw it attached to the circle from the non-round part
5.Draw an oval connected to the stem (the leaf)
Now, I know what you’re thinking. This blogger draws like a 2 year-old, but it is substantially harder to draw on a computer than it is on a paper. I chose a flower for you to learn how to draw, because it’s simple and the better you get at drawing, the more elaborate you can make your flower. For example, you could add dots and hearts to the petals, or shade the petals to make them look three-dimensional.
To shade the flower petals, use (a) colored pencils, and color the part of the petals closest the the center, darker.
Even though the picture below doesn't have much color, it does have shading which makes the picture look more real and 3D.
